Abstract

Every country and government has a set of rules that it is supposed to follow. There are generally two types of rules, some rules are written while some are unwritten and limited to memory only. These rules are technically called written and unwritten rules. The legal system was similar during the time of Waali Swat. But most of these rules as Fatawa-Wadodiya were in written form. Fatawa-Wadodiya has two volumes. The first volume contains worship while the second volume contains various socio-legal issues. Among the main issues in the second volume are issues related to claims, in which the two persons are parties are litigants, and both sides present witnesses, and one side is given preference and decision is made in his favor. While the present work is, primarily, to study the various rules related to intercession in the light of Shari'ah (Islamic Law). In doing so, recourse is firstly made to the Qur'an and Sunnah, the primary sources of Islamic law. After that, Ijma and then jurisprudence is resorted too. Since this book is related to Hanafi jurisprudence, therefore most of the issues are listed in the light of Hanafi jurisprudence. the available secondary data had been critically analyzed.
